Shaggy Bear Lodge is a documentary production company specializing in the kind of intimate stories that are hard to get because they require trust on both sides of the camera. Creating visually stunning work with a small, nimble footprint is the essence of how we work – we find the beauty in what’s there, creating a space where our subjects (and partners) feel free to reveal themselves.
Owning state of the art video and audio gear, SBL consists of a multi-faceted husband & wife team: Sarah Skibitzke (producer, director, editor) and Bryan Donnell (cinematographer, producer, writer), and their team, built over years, of like-minded collaborators. With a combined experience of over 30 years in documentary and non-fiction story-telling for TV, features, and branded content, Sarah and Bryan focus on stories of trauma and toughness, suffering and strength.
